Safari Quads operate the buggy tour, and once at their base camp, you will meet up with your tour guide for instructions and safety briefing. No experience is necessary for this tour, so the guides will ensure you know what you need to have a safe and fun tour.

While on this tour, you will drive off-road on various terrains to the top of Úlfarsfell mountain. On the ride to the top, you will experience the authentic thrills of buggy riding, and when you get there, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the whole city, the ocean, and the surrounding mountains. The buggy tour is about 1 hour long.

After you complete the buggy tour, Safari Quads will drive you back to Reykjavík to Elding’s ticket office, where you will see the whale-watching boat. Reykjavík Whales and Diving

This tour offers you one of the unique activities you can do only in Iceland: diving between two continental plates. Combine the adrenaline of diving in the Mid-Atlantic Rift with the relaxing and exciting whale-watching tour. This is a full-day tour, so you should prepare for an unforgettable experience.

You will be picked up from your hotel by Dive.is a shuttle bus between 07:00 and 8:00, taking you to Þingvellir National Park, about 45 km. from Reykjavík.

The total time of the diving tour is approximately 3 hours, including one dive and a view of Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral and Silfra Lagoon.

At Silfra, you will dive into the crystal-clear glacial water with a view of over 100m of its stunning surroundings. You will swim between two continents and see the crack separating the European and American continental plates.

This diving tour has some special requirements: To dive in Silfra, one must now either be a certified dry suit diver or be able to provide proof of at least 10 logged dry suit attacks within the last two years. The evidence must be a written confirmation by an instructor affiliated with an internationally recognised diving organisation. All diving participants will also need to read and sign a “Diving Silfra Medical Statement” and, if necessary, follow the directions regarding a doctor’s clearance for the tour.

-Ready to wear sometimes tight and constricting dry suit (dry suit diving experience recommended).

You also need to bring thermal underwear and thick wool socks. It is also recommended to dress according to weather and bring a hat, gloves etc. If you wear glasses, it is recommended to wear contact lenses as the masks are not suitable for glasses.

Pick-up is included for this tour, so select your hotel from the dropdown list. If your hotel is not within the central Reykjavík area, you need to make your way down to Hólmaslóð 2, 101 Reykjavík, before 08:00 am on the day of the tour.

After having the best experience of your life, the shuttle will take you to the ticket office in Reykjavík old harbour for the whale watching tour starting at 14:00. On this tour, you are likely to encounter Minke whales, dolphins, porpoises and even Humpback whales and you will sail along the bay for about 3 hours.

After exploring the wonders of the whales and seabirds on Faxaflói Bay, you will return to the harbour around 17:00 and be taken back to your hotel by shuttle bus.
