On this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel around 9 pm and taken to drive the ATV up to Hafrafell mountain. There you will enjoy the midnight sun and the views over Reykjavik, Mosfellsbær, and other towns from high in the hills.

For this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in Reykjavik by Reykjavik Excursions and taken to Blue Lagoon where you will change buses and meet your ATV guides. The ATV base is about a 5-minute drive from Blue Lagoon.

From there, together with your guides, you will ride on the ATVs between lava and black sands heading towards two mountains called Húsafell and Fiskidalsfjall.

Then the ride will continue on top of the mountain Hagafell from which you can expect perfect views over the entire area. You will have a view of the Blue Lagoon area and the island of Eldey.

On your way back from the mountain you will drive along the coastline where you will come across some dramatic shipwrecks. After a thrilling one-hour ATV adventure tour the guide will bring you back to the Blue Lagoon.

Here you can either spend the rest of the afternoon bathing in the warm water of the Blue Lagoon or take the next available Reykjavik Excursions bus back to your hotel. Note that this tour does NOT include an admission ticket to the Blue Lagoon.

This tour is about 4 hours long and includes return bus fare to the Blue Lagoon; and a one-hour ATV tour (2 persons per ATV; single person per ATV at extra cost); Pick up to 30 minutes before departure.

For this tour, you have to be over 17 years old if you will drive the ATV, and also you have to possess a valid driving license. The passengers on the ATV must be over 6 years old.

Lava Beach ATV tour and Blue Lagoon

Another tour operated by Reykjavik Excursions on Reykjanes peninsula will take you on a ride on mountain roads towards and over the mountain Festarfjall.

Then together with your guide, you will head to the black sandy beach called Selatangar where you will get off the bikes and explore some of the old ruins that are still to be found on the beach.

The tour will start in Reykjavik where you will be picked up from your hotel by Reykjavik Excursions bus. They will take you to the ATV base near Blue Lagoon from where you will start the tour.

After two thrilling hours of mountain safari and a ride on the black beach, the guide will bring you back to the Blue Lagoon where you can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the geothermal pool or you can take the bus back to Reykjavik. Note that this tour does NOT include an access ticket to Blue Lagoon.

This tour has a total length of 5 hours and includes: return bus fare to the Blue Lagoon; a 2-hour ATV tour (2 persons per ATV; single person per ATV at extra cost); pick up is up to 30 minutes before departure.
